Day 5....catching up.....Part 2

I've completely ignored Poland so I thought I'd start filling you in. We arrived in Poznan yesterday via a 3 hour train ride from Berlin. The kids were happy to be able to walk around while we were traveling. The hotel/apartment is pretty nice and spacious but a little stinky....yes stinky. There was a little 5 x 7 carpet under the table that was just horrible. I had them remove it today.....much better now. We will be walking a lot here. We found the mall and it's a very nice mall. It is also where we do our grocery shopping. They have a lot of the stores we do and they are certainly trying to be very "western". The Apple imac store is call ispot.

Kinzi and Nathan's allergies are kicking their butts. They sneeze all the time. Kinzi seems very drained of energy right now so we are trying to take it easy for the next couple of days. This weekend we will go to Krakow and see Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. We decided to go ahead and see Auschwitz and let the kids stop whenever they need too.

The exchange rate here is very different than in Berlin. For every American dollar, we get $2.10 of the Polish currency, call Zaloty. We are much better off here. Electronics are alot more expensive and so are denim jeans but everything else so far is about the same.

I haven't taken any pictures but when I do, I'll post them.
